2017 Hyundai Elantra & Santa Fe earn Top Safety Pick+ Rating!
Ordinarily, I don’t like to post videos from YouTube showing brand new Hyundai models getting smashed into oblivion. Doesn’t generally leave a great image in your mind as you are browsing our website for your next vehicle.
Even if you aren’t looking for a vehicle and just come to read this blog for it’s sheer entertainment value and hilarity, seeing cars crashing into cement walls still doesn’t seem to fit on the website!
However, I have a fantastic reason to be showing the clips below. They are essentially a celebration for another Top Safety Pick + recommendation from the Institute for Highway Safety (AKA the IIHS).
In the past few weeks both the 2017 Hyundai Elantra and the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe have earned this distinction which can really set your mind at ease when shopping for a new vehicle. We all know the best way to avoid an injury is to avoid the crash in the first place and with things like blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, and rear cross-traffic alert both these vehicles can help you do that.
However, what really is important and propels both the 2017 Elantra and 2017 Santa Fe to the “Plus” rating is when they are equipped with the Autonomous emergency braking feature. This way even if you fail to react in time the sensors in the vehicles can help to get you stopped in time!
